Privacy policy
Last updated August 2026
This policy covers the Octara website. It describes the data we collect and the controls we actually apply. We do not claim certifications we do not hold.
What we collect
When you submit the early-access, contact, academic or industry forms, we collect the information you provide, such as your name, email, organization, role and message.
We record basic technical information needed to operate the site securely, such as the time of a request and a rate-limiting signal derived from your connection. We do not sell personal data.
How we use it
We use form submissions to respond to your request and to assess whether it matches the current limited-release program. We use technical signals to prevent abuse.
We do not send the content of your scientific forms to third-party analytics.
Where it goes
Submissions are stored in our application database and may be sent by email to an internal Octara address so we can follow up. Email is handled by our mail provider under its own terms.
Controls we apply
Transport is encrypted over HTTPS. Access to submissions is restricted to authorized Octara staff. Passwords, where accounts exist, are stored only as strong one-way hashes. We apply input validation, rate limiting and standard web security headers.
Your choices
You can ask us to access or delete the information you submitted by writing to privacy@octara.org. We will respond within a reasonable period.
